Hello and Welcome Back!
DCYHA will begin registering players for the 2009 – 2010 hockey season on Thursday, September 17, from 5:00pm – 9:00pm at the South Davis Recreation Center (550 North 200 West in Bountiful) in the upstairs Meeting Room B. We are looking forward to another great season!
The House Program begins the week of October 4 and runs through the end of February. We have practice time slots on Monday night from 8:30pm to 9:45pm, Wednesday night from 6:30pm to 7:45pm, and Saturday from 8:45am to 12:15pm. All of these practice times are at the SDRC. Once games begin in November, most of the Saturday time will be dedicated to home games. We will again be participating in the Utah Recreation League (URL). This means that we will have away games in Logan, Vernal, Provo, Salt Lake, and Ogden in addition to our home games.
The registration fee for the season depends on your child’s age level (see Current USA Hockey Age Classifications). You will be happy to see that no group will pay more than they did last year. Mini-Mites and Mites use the least ice, so their fee is lower:
- Mini-mites (born in 2003 or after): $250
- Mites (born in 2001 or after): $275
- Squirts (born in 1999 or after): $350
- PeeWees (born in 1997 or after): $350
- Bantams (1995 or after): $350
If your child has outgrown their current jersey, or needs a new set (light and dark), jerseys cost $50 per set, and matching socks cost $10 per pair. For $10, your child can get 3 tickets to Grizzlies games this season including the season opener. Use this Invoice Template to save time on registration night!
Is the economy getting to you? Learn about our Gold & Silver Sponsorship Program where “finders” can apply 65% of the proceeds toward registration (see Gold & Silver Sponsorship Article). Also, you can bring outgrown gear to our “Hockey Swap” to exchange with other families during registration night. Bring stuff to swap by 5:30pm to get items checked in. Money can go toward registration fees or to the organization as a donation. NO CASH BACK!
As always, there is quite a bit of paperwork, so the more you can fill out in advance, the better. Be sure to pre-register with USA Hockey and bring your printed receipt with you to on September 17th. We must have your proof of registration from USA Hockey in order to register to play with DCYHA.
