Dear Hockey Community,
As a long time coach of DCYHA and Viewmont Hockey I wanted to make sure everyone knew about our upcoming Hockey Skills Camp as early as possible. This is an idea that I’ve been working on for quite some time and I am very excited to see that it has finally come to fruition. This summer the Viewmont High School Hockey Coaching Staff and Team will be putting on a hockey camp for local youth hockey players. The purpose of this camp is to provide more ice time to youth players, to work on fundamental hockey skills and to have a lot fun!
This three-day camp will be August 16-18th at the South Davis Recreation Center. The program is currently scheduled to run from 1:30 – 4:30 pm each day. Each session will include 90 minutes of ice time and 90 minutes of off-ice training and classroom instruction. We know that hockey camps can be very expensive so we have done everything we can to keep the costs down to make the decision a no-brainer. If you register your child before the May 31st deadline, the cost of the entire camp is only $75 per player.
This is not a learn-to-skate or learn-to-play hockey program. It is intended for all kids between the ages of 10 and 15 years old who have played hockey before. All players must wear full equipment as required by USA Hockey. Players should each bring tennis shoes and workout clothes and their own water bottle.
This camp is provided as a community service opportunity for our high school program to give back to the community that has treated all of us so well over the years. We anticipate a player to instructor ration of 6:1 and space is limited so register early!
EARLY REGISTRATION ENDS MAY 31ST – Everyone who registers before the 5/31 deadline pays only $75 and gets a free t-shirt.
