• Hi All,

Welcome back to all the Mites & Min-mites returning from last year, and welcome aboard to all the newcomers who have recently joined DCYHA.  We hope everyone is excited to begin the 2009-10 hockey season.

Our first practice will be held this Friday evening at the SDRC from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.  We will also be practicing this coming Saturday morning from 11:15am to 12:15pm.  Please try to arrive 30 minutes early to help your child into his or her gear.  The locker room assignments can usually be found on the dry erase board next to the skate rental window.  Dressing together in the locker rooms promotes teambuilding, besides the SDRC frowns on dressing in the public areas.

For now, please plan on practicing at these times on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.  After October, we will have games on Saturdays instead of practices, but the times and locations have not yet been determined.

There is a link on the DCYHA website where you can subscribe to an-internet based calendar with our schedule (see http://www.dcyha.org/temporary-practicegame-schedule), although we also hope to have a PDF copy on the website similar to what has been used in the past.  No game schedules have been posted yet, but they typically begin in early November.

For those of you who have not yet registered, please be sure to register with USA Hockey, fill out the various DCYHA registration forms, and bring them all with you to practice.  Please follow this link for registration information: http://www.dcyha.org/registration-night-hockey-swap.

    See you Friday!
